Weinbereitung: Die Kelterung erfolgt nach traditioneller Methode mit einer Maischegärung von 12 - 15 Tagen bei 28 – 30°C. Nach dem biologischen Säureabbau reift der Wein für 15-18 Monate in Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Dank des häufigen Umziehen der Barriques wurde der Sassi Grossi ohne weitere Schönung, Kaltstabilisierung und Filtrierung abgefüllt.

Farbe: Tiefgründiges sattes Rubinrot.

Bouquet: Harmonisch, intensiv und komplex. Mit Noten von Pflaumen und Heidelbeeren, sowie leichte Röst- und Gewürtzaromen, und Mentholnoten.

Geschmack: Frisch, fruchtig und komplex. Gut strukturiert, mit reifen und gut eingebundenen Tanninen. Eine saftige Säure begleitet den langen, anhaltenden Abgang.

Beste Trinkreife: Seinen vollen Charakter entwickelt der Sassi Grossi 2020 ab Frühling 2023; bei optimaler Lagerung wird er bis 2033 und darüber hinaus seinen vollen Ausdruck behalten. Wir empfehlen den Wein eine Stunde vor dem Geniessen zu entkorken
